Inspired by the movie Star Wars: A New Hope

Statement:

    Using visual geometry this piece achieves equilibrium with circular and square forms. The tan background reminds the viewer of sand, which is associated not only with the main character Luke's home planet but also with themes of time. There is a small statue of Confuscious at the top center to add religious reverence. The composition is clean and pure, with a white rose accenting the purity of life before tragedy. The most color is found in the blue of the plate, alluding to a positive outlook or good intentions. The stones in the top left are reddish and trickle into the circular motion of the setting, as if an ill force is trying to weasle its way into the purity of the composition.
